Construction sites, demolition sites and mines all fall under AS/NZS 3012

Any electrical equipment that plugs in to mains must be tested and tagged every three months.

Any portable RCD’s must have operating time tested every three months and push buttons tested daily, or before every use, whichever is the longer.

Any worker bringing electrical equipment to site must have it tagged before use and provide the main contractor with a record of the relevant test data.

The following documentation must be kept for all electrical equipment AS/NZS3012:2010 3.10

• Register of all equipment
• Record of formal inspections and tests
• Repair register
• Record of all faulty equipment
